AI Operations for Pawnshops

Your loans renew themselves — you just tap Approve.

MayaOS drafts the reminder texts with payment links, checks every payment against your books, answers your reviews, and works your eBay offers overnight — inside price floors you set. Nothing a customer reads ever goes out without your thumb on it.

The Daily Rhythm

Your day, on rails.

A loan forfeits because nobody called. Reviews sit unanswered. A lowball comes in at 11:40 pm and you answer it at midnight. That's not a staffing problem — it's a rhythm problem. Maya runs the rhythm; you make the calls.

Overnight

Reminders that carry a payment link

Loans coming due get reminder texts drafted overnight, each with a link — so the interest gets paid from a couch at 9 pm instead of maybe-Friday. You approve every text before it sends.

While you sleep

eBay selling inside your floors

You set the floor and the take-it price. Lowballs decline themselves, strong offers accept themselves, and anything in between lands on your phone for you to decide.

At open

Reviews answered, one tap

Google and Facebook replies drafted in your voice, waiting at open. You tap approve, it posts. It never posts on its own.

Through the day

Payments verified against your books

Your ledger is the truth. Maya reads the export your POS already produces and catches money taken at the counter but never applied to the loan.

At the counter

Photo in, storefront out

Snap the item, get a drafted listing. Approved listings go to eBay and to your own storefront with checkout — a channel with no marketplace fee at all.

In your pocket

The phone app

One board on your phone: today's queue, Approve or Hold. If you can approve a payout, you can run this — no training week for you or your staff.

Does It Pay?

Run your own numbers — right here.

Our seeded demo store shows a +24.5-point renewal lift on reminded loans (78.3% vs 53.8%). Slide in your shop's shape and see what that lift is worth per month.

Model: your renewal rate + 24.5 points (capped at 95%), on loans coming due, at a 20% monthly renewal fee — modeled from our demo-store data, not customer results. The real product doesn't ask you to trust a slider: your ROI meter computes this from YOUR books, reminded-vs-unreminded, from day one.

What It Runs

Nine engines. One thumb.

Reminders + pay links

Due-loan texts drafted overnight, each carrying a payment link. Draft → your approval → send.

Payment verification

Every payment checked against your POS export. Counter cash that never hit the loan gets caught.

eBay auto-negotiation

Lowballs auto-decline, take-it prices auto-accept, the middle wakes your phone. Floors frozen by you.

Listings from photos

Snap the item at the counter; a full listing draft lands in your queue for eBay and your storefront.

Review replies

Google and Facebook responses drafted in your voice, waiting each morning. One tap posts.

ROI meter

Reminded-vs-unreminded renewals and dollars recovered, computed from your own books, next to the price you pay.

The Safety Story

Nothing sends without your thumb.

An AI near your customers and your money should make you nervous. Here's why this one doesn't get to do anything you didn't sign off on.

i.
Draft, don't send.Every customer-facing word is a draft until you approve it. There is no code path that sends model-written text on its own.
ii.
Your books stay the truth.Maya reads your export; it never becomes your system of record. If Maya and your ledger disagree, your ledger wins.
iii.
Your floor is your floor.Offer rules are plain arithmetic you set. The AI cannot lower a floor, ever, and every automated accept or decline is logged.
iv.
Caps, windows, STOP.Texts only 8 am–9 pm with a daily cap and duplicate guard. STOP is honoured by machine onto a suppression list. Business identified in every message, CASL-aware by default.
v.
Your own isolated instance.Your customers and numbers are never in a shared pot, and nothing is used to train anything.

Your Own Channel

A storefront with no marketplace fee.

Approved listings don't just go to eBay — they go to your shop's own storefront with checkout. We seeded one for the demo store so you can walk through it, checkout button and all.

Fair Questions

What pawnbrokers ask first.

An AI texting MY customers? No.

It doesn't. It drafts; you send. Every text sits in a queue until you tap Approve — there is no code path that sends model-written words on its own. Think of it as the world's fastest clerk who writes everything down and hands you the pad.

Is this even legal? CASL fines are no joke.

CASL is built into the plumbing, not bolted on. Reminders about an existing loan are largely exempt transactional messages — but every text still carries your business name, STOP is handled by machine onto a suppression list, and full send and approval logs are kept as your defence file. Sending stays disabled until the onboarding consent step is done. We give you the compliance file; your lawyer confirms your specifics.

What if it gets something wrong?

Then you don't tap Approve — that's the whole design. A wrong draft dies in the queue; nobody ever sees it. On money, it never trusts itself over your ledger, so a wrong guess gets caught against your books, not sent to a customer. Guardrails cap sends per day and block anything outside 8 am–9 pm.

My books are a mess.

It only needs one thing: an export of open loans with due dates — the CSV your POS already spits out, even an ugly one. We map your columns once at setup. And messy books actually benefit most: Maya verifies payments against that export, so it surfaces the money taken at the counter but never applied.

And when you've got me locked in?

There's nothing to lock. Your books stay in YOUR system — Maya reads an export; it never becomes your system of record. Cancel and you keep your POS, your texting number, your payment account, and a full export of your data: threads, logs, listings, the lot. Walking away costs you the rhythm, not your records.

Who Built This

Built by a pawnbroker, not a pitch deck.

“I run three shops in Calgary. Maya was built to run my own counters first — and my stores run this rhythm every day. It speaks pawn: loans, renewals, forfeits, floors — not ‘engagement.’ And because the AI runs local-first, the per-message cost is close to zero. That's why $199 is possible.”
